Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy Beneath the Banyan (1).png

Craniosacral therapy is one of the gentle techniques I may incorporate into a therapeutic session when it feels appropriate for your needs. In some sessions, it may be a brief part of the work. In others, we may spend much of the session focusing on subtle craniosacral techniques, especially when addressing head, neck, jaw, or nervous-system tension.

If craniosacral work is included in your session, you will remain fully clothed while resting comfortably on the massage table. I use very light, precise touch while paying close attention to subtle patterns of tension, movement, and stillness throughout the body.

Sessions are quiet, gentle, and deeply restorative. The work invites the body to settle without force, creating space for relaxation and greater ease. Some people describe the experience as a soft unwinding, much like ripples spreading across the surface of a pond after a pebble falls into the water.

How to Prepare: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and arrive well hydrated. You do not need to prepare in any special way. Simply give yourself a little time to settle in and arrive as you are.

After Your Session: Many people enjoy a bit of quiet time afterward. Staying hydrated and noticing how your body feels over the next several hours can be helpful.

Clients often seek craniosacral therapy for head and neck tension, jaw tension, stress, difficulty settling, or simply for a deeply restful experience. Responses vary from person to person, so each session is guided by what feels appropriate and comfortable for you that day.
